Wallet information
Cryptocurrency wallet addresses and Extended Public Keys (xpubs), if you supply them.
Payment tracking data
Transaction hashes, amounts, and timestamps related to those addresses.
- Private keys or seed phrases
- Personal identification documents, unless legally required under compliance laws
- Payment card details or bank account numbers
Public nature of wallet addresses
Wallet addresses and xpubs may be publicly visible on their respective blockchains. While we store these to enable payment tracking, they are not inherently private and may be viewed by others through blockchain explorers.
CPTPayment uses this public blockchain information only to track and verify payments associated with the addresses you provide.
How we use the information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the payment tracking service
- Generate invoices and update payment status, including paid, underpaid, overpaid, and partial
- Communicate with you regarding your account or service updates
- Maintain system security and detect misuse or fraud
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties.
Disclosure to regulators
If required by applicable law, regulation, or court order, we may share wallet address and transaction tracking data linked to your account with regulators or law enforcement. No other data will be shared unless legally compelled.
Data retention
- Your main account and associated data are not deleted once created, even if you stop using the service.
- Sub-user accounts may be deleted upon request by the primary account holder.
- Transaction and wallet data are retained as part of the permanent payment history for audit and compliance purposes.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption, access control, and secure infrastructure, to protect your stored data. However, we cannot guarantee absolute security of any data transmitted over the internet or stored on blockchain networks.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that any wallet addresses or xpubs you provide are correct and that your email address remains accessible and secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on our website with the “Last updated” date changed accordingly. Continued use of our platform after updates means you accept the revised policy.
